Firstly, let me introduce myself!

My name is Matt Williams, and I am the principal behind the Calgary Alberta based company, On Board Collection.

Having been born in South Africa and trained in carpentry by a Master Craftsman in Europe, I have always had a deep appreciation for wood. No other material is so extraordinary in character and able to produce beautiful, timeless pieces.

After spending more than 30 years specializing in building custom furniture for interior design firms, I began working with smaller pieces of wood as a creative outlet and quickly discovered a growing demand for the products you see on this site.

Each board is uniquely handcrafted from locally sourced wood, finished with a food safe oil-wax and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
